Job Description:

WIRED Technologies Group is looking for an experienced AV Service Technician. We are seeking skilled candidates that are self-starters to join our service team. The AV Service Technician will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of residential and commercial audio-visual, networking, security, and automation/control systems. This role will require the employee to be self-sufficient and a critical thinker as they will often be working alone in residential and commercial locations.  Along with traditional AV skills and a great customer service attitude, the ability to troubleshoot new technology, and ease with navigating electronic documents and platforms is essential.

Summary of Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a wide variety of residential and commercial technology systems.

·         Apply technical knowledge of electronics, AV, and networking principles to diagnosing malfunctions and applies such skills in installing or restoring equipment operations.

·         Working indoors and outdoors; working at heights, in attics, crawl spaces and other tight or difficult spaces using ladders and other devices; and testing/diagnosing systems to insure all is in proper working order.

·         Performs preventive maintenance functions according to customer service agreements.

·         Ability to interpret information from client request tickets and apply technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve issues.

·         Provide excellent in-person and remote communication. Confer with clients to determine the nature of problems or to explain repairs. 

·         Detail-Oriented, able to read and interpret blueprints and line diagrams,

·         Keep records of tickets and test/maintenance reports through ConnectWise.

·         Communicate daily activities to Client Care Coordinator.

·         Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

·         Advanced knowledge of audio-visual, network, home security, automation, and control systems.

·         Two years of residential or commercial AV installation and service experience.

·         Vocational training or an associate degree in electronics, networking, or related field preferred.

·         Must own basic hand tools.
